FAQ

Help using the reference

A few useful answers

Finding a verb, understanding the pages, printing and getting help.

Is Modern Greek Verbs free?

Yes. You can browse and use the verb reference without a paid membership. ModernGreekGrammar.com is a separate, optional course.

How do I find a verb?

Start with the search on the homepage, or select its first Greek letter in the alphabet navigation. If a search gives no useful result, try the Greek dictionary form rather than a form taken from a sentence.

How should I read a verb page?

Check the meaning first, then find the relevant voice and tense. On the updated pages, person labels help you locate the form you need, and section links take you directly to a tense. Read any usage notes alongside the table.

Why are there sometimes two forms?

Modern Greek has legitimate alternatives. Some differ in register, frequency or context, so they are not always interchangeable in every sentence. We are improving the notes to make these distinctions clearer. If an alternative looks unusual, send us the page and an example of how you want to use it.

Has every verb been checked?

The content review is ongoing. Updated layouts do not, by themselves, mean every conjugation has received a complete linguistic review. Please report possible errors through our Contact & corrections page.

Can I print a page or share it with a learner?

Yes. You may print individual pages for personal study or handouts in your own lessons, keeping the site name, source URL and attribution visible. Use the page’s print control where available, or your browser’s Print command. Check the preview before printing. Sharing the page link is also welcome; see the Terms of use for reuse details.

Can I use the site on a phone?

Yes. If a table is wider than the screen, scroll within it horizontally to see the remaining columns. If content is clipped or a control does not work, tell us the page, device and browser.

Where can I learn the grammar behind the forms?

Visit Modern Greek Grammar for structured lessons. Its Greek alphabet lesson is free to try. Course membership is optional and does not affect access to this verb reference.

How do I use a grammar membership offer?

Follow the offer link shown on a verb page and check the membership and checkout details. Eligibility, the introductory price and any renewal price are shown on the grammar site. For billing or access questions, use Modern Greek Grammar’s contact page.

How do I suggest a missing verb or report a mistake?

Use our Contact & corrections page. Include the Greek verb, its meaning, the relevant page link and your suggestion. A reliable reference or example sentence helps us review it.
